The Milan Derby – Rossoneri vs. Nerazzurri
There are football rivalries and then there is the Milan – Inter rivalry. Known as "Derby della Madonnina" this rivalry is one of the most famous in world football if not world sport. In 1899, the Milan Cricket and football club was founded. The team was successful winning the league title three times. But in 1908, there was acrimony over a number of issues. The club split in half with the new team known as Inter Milan. Thus the Inter – Milan rivalry was born.
